Avatar the Movie just a corner ahead

Yeah we will see soon a little Aang on his quest to becoming the Avatar who will control, earth, fire, water, and of course air. —–on an live action movie??

In the past these rumour was declined after discovering that Avatar is the movie name of an James Cameron new release and has nothing to do with the anime series (yeah i know the series isn’t japanese, but what the hell you get the point). Many of the fans were disappointed, others were happy because, they don’t want to get a good series screw up.

But i had to disappoint that feeling of relief, there will be a Avatar the Last Airbender the movie, and you can count of it. How awesome will i be if i was guessing this. But i got to be clear on this, is not a hallucination, there is proof.

The movie will be named  The Last Airbender. Many people is wondering why the didn’t use the name of Avatar, well there are some thoughts, many think that is to prevent a confusion between James Cameron film and this one, but hey this is a personal thought, it will not be more confusing to the fans to rip off the principal name of the series of the movie title, i guess they say no.

Well here is a photo of the characters and their real characters

quite good ha?
quite good ha?

As all good live action many people expect a huge failure, but the producers are so optimistic about this that they have prepare a triquel, (yes they made a short name for a trilogy).

One of the first complains mentioned was that even that is a story of china alike, the actors are all not even chinese alike. Well this was until they knew that the protagonist is well trained on martial arts, and as a funny quote, he was already bald at  the time of the cast, (he likes shaving his head), that is getting into character.

The movies will go book by book, telling the adventures of Aang, the first film is scheduled  to be released in July 2010. The quest to do a great film and a not another dragon ball movie type, is assigned to M. Night Shyamalan who will write, produce and direct the film.
